Client: Music band Superhiks
Inclusion of children with disabilities through an animated film workshop is a project that we organized in October 2021, which was supported by the EU Delegation in Skopje and was realized in cooperation with the Cinematheque of North Macedonia and the IMF KineNova.
The aim of the workshop was primarily to provide a positive inclusive environment, introducing and socializing children with disabilities and typical children. Art is not a privilege, but a right of children with disabilities, and through skills and knowledge that are not present in regular school curricula we want to create new opportunities for creative expression, development of tolerance, and understanding between children.
The workshop was held in four sessions, two sessions per week. The live activities took place at Europe House and the Cinematheque of North Macedonia, and one session was held online. Of particular importance for the project was creating a habit of online communication among children with disabilities, and introducing them to the tools for digital communication and animation.
The material made by all participants in the sessions was edited in one piece by the mentors and this final product was presented to the participants in the last session in the form of a cinema screening.
The video recorded on the music of the song “Ram para ram” by “Superhiks” is used by the band as their official video.
