The Macedonian film “M” directed by Vardan Tozija and produced by Focus Pocus, has won the prestigious Best Film award at the International Festival of Genre Film Light Till Dark in ORBR, Sweden.
“This film offers a fresh perspective on a classic genre. With a remarkable cast and sensitive direction, it is both visually and thematically stunning. It’s a film that leaves us with hope while simultaneously breaking our hearts,” stated the festival jury.
The Light Till Dark Festival showcases a curated selection of new and classic works in fantasy, science fiction, and horror. “Our mission is to promote genre films while spotlighting exceptional works that don’t always make it into wide distribution,” said Daniel Lundste, the festival’s director.
M continues its successful festival journey. Its next screenings are scheduled for early December, with Dutch and Finnish premieres as part of the official selections for the Eastern Neighbors festival in The Hague and the International Scandinavian Film Festival in Helsinki.
